Since 2010, PARTNERS for Equity in Child and Adolescent Health awarded planning grants to 37 sites representing 41 counties around the State of Georgia to explore the creation of a school-based health center in their area. Needs assessments, focus groups, planning meetings, business plan development and parent/teacher/student surveys are among some of the activities that have been or will be conducted to determine the communities’ needs and wishes regarding school-based health care. There are currently seven clinics in operation in the state.
