About GASBHA

The Georgia School-Based Health Alliance, Inc. (GASBHA) was formed in November 2012 to advocate for the expansion of school-based health centers in Georgia. The Alliance provides technical assistance, training, planning grants, and startup funds for the development and implementation of SBHCs throughout the state. GASBHA is officially recognized as an affiliate of the national Based Health Alliance (SBHA). SBHA is “the National Voice for School-Based Health Care”. The SBHA sets national policy and legislative agenda, advocates for greater support and funding, promote high-quality clinical standards, supports data collection, reporting, evaluation, and research, and provides training technical assistance, and consultation.

Testimonials

  • “Since my son has been getting therapy, he is not as explosive as he used to be, he is actually thinking before he reacts. There use to be moments that I had to bring him back down. Usually, he would just go in and you would have to do a lot of stuff to bring him back to himself. My son is having less problems at school, I haven’t gotten called to the school lately. Also, his relationship with his dad is better. He and his dad were constantly in conflict because his dad was not around much. Now he is talking with his dad more and building back trust again. I am so proud of the progress that my son has made”.

  • My daughter’s behavior has gotten much better. She’s been able to manage her anger with the coping skills she learned with you in therapy. She has fewer conflicts with her sister and has been utilizing the incentives/rewards discussed in a prior session for good behavior.
