Matt Remillard
Assistant Superintendent of Rabun County Schools
Mr. Remillard began his career in education in 2002 and currently serves as the Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Student Achievement and Operations at Rabun County Schools. His career began in the Douglas County School System, where he served as a high school math teacher, Assistant Principal, and Assistant Director of Transportation. He later transitioned to the Lumpkin County School System, where he served as Principal of Lumpkin County Middle School.
Throughout his career, Mr. Remillard has engaged in extensive professional development, including multiple programs through the Georgia School Superintendents Association, such as the Superintendent Professional Development Program, District Office Professional Development Program, Facilities and Capital Outlay Institute, Human Resources Institute, and the Planning, Funding, and Budgeting Institute.
In addition, he has participated in national and state-level professional learning opportunities, including the National Dropout Prevention Professional Development Conference (2020). He has also contributed as a guest speaker at several key conferences, including the Georgia Association of Educational Leaders Summer Conference (2021), Georgia Association of Pupil Transportation Conference (2017), and the Summer Leadership Academy (2015).
